Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sync between devices?
WorshipClicks uses iCloud to sync your songs and setlists automatically. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID on all your devices and that iCloud is enabled for WorshipClicks in your device's iCloud settings.
How do I share setlists with my band?
Use the Band Sharing feature to share setlists and songs with other WorshipClicks users via iCloud. Open the sharing settings from the app and invite band members using their Apple ID.
How do I connect a MIDI controller?
USB (Mac & iPhone): Connect your MIDI controller via USB.
WorshipClicks automatically detects all connected MIDI devices.
Bluetooth MIDI (iPhone): Go to Settings → MIDI and tap
"Bluetooth MIDI Devices" to pair a wireless MIDI controller like WIDI UHost.
The default mappings are: Middle C (Note 60) for Play/Pause, D (Note 62) for Next
Song, E (Note 64) for Previous Song, F# (Note 66) for Tap Tempo, and G#/Ab (Note 68)
for Count-In. The sustain pedal (CC 64) also toggles Play/Pause.
What is MIDI Clock?
MIDI Clock sends tempo sync messages (24 pulses per quarter note) to all connected MIDI devices. This keeps tempo-based effects — delays, modulation, tremolo — perfectly in time with your click track. Enable it in Settings → MIDI. In continuous mode (the default), the clock keeps running between songs so your effects stay synced.
How does the Apple Watch app work?
The Apple Watch companion app connects to WorshipClicks on your iPhone via WatchConnectivity. You can start/stop playback, navigate songs, trigger count-ins, and switch setlists right from your wrist. The watch shows the current song name, BPM, and beat indicator. It requires the iPhone app to be installed and signed in to the same Apple ID.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage and delete the WorshipClicks data from there.
What keyboard shortcuts are available?
Press T for Tap Tempo, C for Count-In, Left/Right arrows for Previous/Next Song, 1/2/3 for subdivision selection, and Esc to stop playback.
